Organization
At THE FUTURE, our work is anchored by two specialized research centers, each focusing on distinct yet interconnected pillars of the People Economy, Growth Levers, and Capital Economy. These centers serve as the intellectual engines of our institution, advancing knowledge, policy, and practice within their respective domains.
The Centre for Future Labour Market Studies
EU-ERA focuses on labor economics, human capital, and workforce transformation. It explores evolving trends in employment, skills development, non-formal education, and inclusive participation in the labor market. Through data-driven research and policy insights, EU-ERA supports national efforts to prepare the workforce for the challenges and opportunities of the future economy.
The Centre for Competitiveness and Structural Reform
REFORM is dedicated to structural economic transformation, including productivity growth, capital economy, and long-term competitiveness. It develops evidence-based strategies to strengthen Malaysia’s economic foundations through innovation, industrial upgrading, and reform-oriented policies. REFORM supports stakeholders in aligning growth levers with sustainable, inclusive progress.
Strategic Pillars
Our work is structured around three interconnected pillars of transformation — the People Economy, Growth Levers, and Capital Economy — each representing a critical dimension in shaping Malaysia’s future-ready, inclusive, and resilient economic landscape.
